Marfa, Texas sits at 4,700 feet in the Chihuahuan Desert — the largest desert in North America, and one of the least understood. It is a landscape defined by extremes: altitude, aridity, silence, and light. It is also a landscape with a flavor profile.

Marfa Spirit Company was built here deliberately. Not because it was convenient — it wasn't — but because this place produces ingredients, traditions, and conditions that can't be replicated anywhere else... and we distill what it gives us.

We distill desert spirit from plants that grow wild across the Trans-Pecos. We age whiskey and rum in a climate that swings between 20-degree winter nights and 100-degree summer afternoons — a thermal cycle that accelerates barrel interaction in ways a Kentucky rickhouse never will. We grow and forage ingredients when we can, and we source as close to home as possible when we can't.
